Are Brilliant Blended Meetings Possible? I say “YES”

Work is different now. And there is no where to easily get the skills to run and attend hybrid meetings. Joe Curcillo and I have created 100 Minutes to Brilliant Blended Meetings to solve the challenge of how to conduct and attend blended meetings. In 8 fast moving episodes and a bonus episode for team members,  Joe and I combined our 40 years of meeting experience to create the guide for these challenging times. I am here to help. For a preview of the program please go to https://brilliant100.com/. And if an additional discount will help your company thrive, please reach out to me and ask. Happy Meetings!!

The opportunity to share my life story… for a WHOLE hour!

The opportunity to share my life story… for a WHOLE hour!

To hear the entire episode

It’s funny how you get the opportunity to appear on a podcast for a whole hour, and it turns out to be questions about your life. I don’t talk a lot about my journey, but I got the chance to do that with the amazing Neil Ball on his show “The Entrepreneur Way”. I want to share here, because sometimes people ask how I got here, and now it’s immortalized, and I don’t have to tell it anymore…. anyone who wants to, can just listen. Thanks Neil for this incredible opportunity, and I wish you all “happy listening”.

The Equalizing Effect of the “Corona-pause”

The Equalizing Effect of the “Corona-pause”

This “stay at home” pause maybe the great equalizer. Through no fault of our own, most of us are now working from home. CEOs of big companies and small, leaders, managers, consultants, journalists, even late night talk show hosts are all working from home.

Something magical is happening here. In normal life, we are defined by and treated as our titles and responsed to, by the perceived responsibilities of our jobs. Normally, CEOs seem unreachable or too busy to connect with. During this time everyone’s life and job have been turned on their side, and everybody’s time has been skewed in one way or another.

So connecting as people and not as “job titles” might be the great benefit of this Corona-pause. Over the past week, I’ve had several Zoom executive consulting sessions with CEOs. I am working in my home office and my dog is in the background, and they are in their home office and there is either a dog or child or a life partner in the background at their home, and we become people having a conversation on how to best move forward.

So perhaps one positive to come out of this time, if we can remain healthy and sane, is to remember that we’re all all just people trying to do the best we can for everybody around us, looking forward to when things shake out and to see how best we can all move forward as human beings and then in our roles for the highest and best good for all in our worlds.

Coming from LOVE on Valentine’s Day

Coming from LOVE on Valentine’s Day

rsz_120150830_032757

It’s that time again.  Every other ad on television this week, is for what “Men can give” and  “Women can get” for Valentine’s Day.  Whether it’s for “chocolate diamonds”, flowers, chocolate or even a new car, this has become a set up for potential failure and disappointment from all sides.

To take the possible disappointment out of this “Retail created holiday”; first,  instead of getting anything for love, come to this week FROM love.  Ask yourself, how can I come from love today?  How can I show everyone I care about the loving energy that is available at all times?  Show up from a place of love and the people around you will feel it.

Next, an amazing “gift of love”, can be to tell anyone in your personal ecology, what having them in your world brings to you.  You can even make a card and show them in words and pictures what they mean to you.

And finally,  what ever happens this Sunday, February 14th, understand that ANYTHING, however big or small,  can be a gesture of love.  And if you experience any disappointment, let it go or ask for what you want.  Coming from love means not expecting anyone to read your mind.   I’m just hoping you read this post!  Give yourself the gift of love this weekend, by asking the question, how do I come to every moment from love?  You’ll be amazed at how love shows up.  Happy Valentine’s Day!
